Company Overview: AYANA Wines (Pty) Ltd was established in 2020. At the core of AYANA’s value pillar is the ambition to sustainably introduce empowerment and transformation into the complete chain of local wining activity.Our mission at AYANA is to take the miracle of nature and create bottled poetry where we not only regale pallets, but elevate moments to occasions. AYANA is Swahili for “beautiful flower” and is represented by the brand as the mighty African elephant. Our values revolve strongly around nurturing and empowering the roots of humanity and we extend this endeavor towards creating a brand that is an archetype of Africa and all its people. Ayana Wines was conceptualized by 2 black entrepreneurs, Thabo Makweya and Nandipha Masiso. In pursuit of their dream they entered a strategic partnership with Stettyn Cellar, a well-known winery, situated between Worcester and Villiersdorp. Together they created 3 different styles and later added a sparkling wine specifically designed to infiltrate the wine value chain targeting the markets.
