Company Overview: ISUNA ceramics and its history is as colorful as the country from which it comes, the so-called Rainbow Nation (Rainbow Nation) South Africa. Anyone who has a heart for Africa, the continent of colors and contrasts, full of beauty, wildness, life, joy and movement, will fall in love with ISUNA's African designer ceramics.
ISUNA ceramics is at home at the Cape of Good Hope, right in Cape Town, affectionately known as "The Mother City". The ISUNA story began back in 2006 when a few talented African ceramic artists from the townships around Cape Town got together to capture the hopeful, bright and cheerful colors, patterns and symbols of Africa on ceramics. Above all, however, they wanted to put an end to their daily struggle for survival in the townships and instead to provide a regular income for their livelihood and that of their families.
