This lively Spier Signature Chardonnay is slightly tart, whimsically tropical & ever-so creamy.
Crafted with grapes handpicked from a very special vineyard on the slopes of Stellenbosch’s Helderberg, the wine was in barrel for 26 months.
Wonderful now, it’ll also reward careful cellaring with even greater complexity and softer tannins.

20 months of oak maturation has resulted in firm but velvety tannins.
The wine appearance is straw coloured with lime rim edges.
It offers fresh grassiness with bell pepper, passion fruit, green fig leaves and gooseberry on the nose. The palate is concentrated and richly textured with a fresh, green finish.

The Spier Creative Block 3 is a South African take on the traditional Rhône-style blend of 93% Shiraz, 4% Mourvèdre, and 3% Viognier.
The Spier Creative Block 5 is a South African take on the traditional Bordeaux-style red is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot, 6% Malbec, and 6% Cabernet Franc.
The 2015 vintage won a Gold medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2019.
The 2017 vintage was rated 4.5 stars by Platter’s Wine Guide 2020 and received 94 points in the 2020 Tim Atkin Annual South African Report.
